Youth in this area will explore innovative and sustainable approaches to disaster management, environmental engineering, landscaping, and sustainable architecture. With attention to international standards in cost management and quantity surveying, this stream encourages solutions that harmonize modern urban planning with Bhutan’s natural environment and cultural heritage. From promoting nurseries and beautification projects to designing resilient housing and EV infrastructure, participants are challenged to imagine a city where functionality, beauty, and sustainability go hand in hand. This category calls for creative, practical designs that make GMC both globally competitive and authentically Bhutanese. This challenge area creates opportunities for Bhutanese youth to develop innovative solutions that blend tradition, innovation, and sustainability for the future of Gelephu Mindfulness City.
